The Department of Geography and Environmental Management is a multi-disciplinary department that delivers a range of programmes in the fields of civil engineering, geography, geology, environmental management, planning, and transport. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Project Management to develop, lead and teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the department. Using sustainability as underpinning driver, the Department is particularly looking to grow its expertise in the areas namely managing projects in global environments, programme and portfolio management, leadership. Relevant professional body links and/or relevant work experience as a project professional will be an added advantage.
Applicants must demonstrate (or show potential for) international excellence in their respective practice or research area. Evidence of an emerging track record for publishing work of the highest academic quality and impact will be an added advantage. Successful applicants will be required to contribute to the academic support and development of students and apprentices through delivery of modules at all levels. This will involve large cohort teaching, leading small group workshops and industry visits, mentoring and tutoring students and supervising student projects. They will also engage in enterprise and research related to their specialisms and strengths. The successful candidates will be expected to make a significant contribution to the academic support of students, quality and standards and student experience and engaging in the development of research and enterprise projects.
