This post works in partnership with the Faculty of Environment and Technology to support staff and students to ensure UWE students get great graduate outcomes. As the lead between the department and the Faculty this role is vital to support faculty with the continued embedding of career development, enabling access and participation, work-based learning and employer engagement. Student Success Services (SSS) brings together the Library, Careers, and Inclusivity to deliver outstanding outcomes for all of our students in partnership with Faculties and other Services. Our work inputs into student recruitment and retention; academic success; student satisfaction and graduate destination outcomes.
We aim to:
* Enable learners to become independent and confident and to achieve their full potential in respect of academic achievement and employment.
* Ensure learners have high satisfaction levels in the area of independent access to, and use of, information
* Facilitate high quality research and maximise the global impact of UWE research
* Set a whole institution approach to inclusivity, profiling UWE as an inclusive university that places the mental wealth of students and staff as a strategic priority
About you:
This role is a senior leadership role within the department; directly responsible for leading and managing services to one of our four faculties. You'll be working on curriculum development, responsible for delivering teaching, presenting to senior colleagues, using labour-market and graduate outcomes data to inform your work. You'll be an exceptional communicator with proven ability in this area of work. Importantly you'll have the ability to get things done. You'll be supported by an amazing team of professionals who all share the same desire to help students succeed. You'll have lots of autonomy to set direction and drive forward innovation change with support from the leadership team. You'll also have lots of scope to develop yourself professionally.
