About us: UWE delivers several business programmes, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and ESF (European Social Fund) to facilitate research & development of products and services and to increase the growth capacity of SMEs in the West of England and other LEP areas.
You will be required to support the ERDF Finance Manager acting as a Senior Finance Officer, working across several projects, providing support for all financial activities such as quarterly claims submission supported by sufficient audit evidence; quarterly budget re-forecast; monitoring income and expenditure against milestones/deliverables’ audit certification; post award reconciliations and general tasks such as processing expenses, collating claims evidence etc. to ensure full compliance to internal and external financial regulations.
About the role: The post-holder will be line managed by the ERDF/ESF Finance Manager and will also be required to advise and collaborate with the dedicated project delivery teams (located in another service). While the primary purpose of this role is to support ERDF projects, where applicable it will also work alongside and ensure commonality of practice with other university ERDF/ESF projects.
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – £300m has been invested recently on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.
Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.
