The Faculty of Business and Law at UWE Bristol is making strategic appointments to support the expansion of its practice led programme portfolio. As such, the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance is seeking to appoint a part time (0.5 FTE) Senior Lecturer in Insurance and Risk to enhance the practice based experience in the teaching team.
Applications from professionally qualified and industry experienced applicants are invited, to support the academic team in delivering the new CII Accredited MSc Risk Management and Insurance. This is a practice-led and applied Masters programme, focussing on skills and knowledge development in the field of general insurance and risk management, developing graduate talent into successful careers in this exciting and varied industry.
Whilst experience of teaching or training and development will be an advantage, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a desire to share their knowledge and industry experience in an academic context, enthusing and inspiring students to explore the risk industry and general insurance opportunities.
About us: The department promotes practice led teaching and research. In addition to our core Accounting and Finance provisions we are expanding our offering into exciting areas such as Insurance Risk Management, Financial Technology, and Forensic Accounting.
Sustainability and ethics cut across our provision, with embedded themes of enterprise and internationalisation in all our programmes. Our research is directed firmly at impact on people and society and integral to our teaching delivery.

Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities, making our campus the ideal place to work for those commuting to Bristol.
