Due to internal progression we have an opportunity for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join the Human Resource Management subject group within our Faculty of Business and Law.
About the role: The HRM subject group sits within the Department of Business and Management and are seeking someone who can contribute fully to departmental activities, including teaching, research and external engagement.
The focus of this role is to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our students though exceptional teaching and learning on academic programmes within the department and also to engage in research and other activities that enhance and inform teaching design and curriculum development.
We deliver an innovative practice-led curriculum at UWE Bristol and have a range of well-established stakeholder engagement activities regionally, nationally and internationally.
About you: Candidates should hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably a PhD (or be close to completion), and be committed to teaching and research. The post holder will join a vibrant and growing HRM team comprising 26 academic members of staff, and will be expected to make a significant contribution to teaching activities of the group at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We particularly welcome applicants with proven ability to teach and lead in the areas of strategic HRM, resourcing, reward, employee relations and applied HRM skills. The nature of the subject group's teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large modules as well as independently on specialist HRM modules. About us: UWE Bristol is an ambitious university. Together, our people are working hard to advance knowledge, inspire people and transform futures. We are looking for people with the skills and ambition to help us achieve those aims.
