About us: Working in the Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics comprising of a range of practice-led academic programmes, this post is a permanent appointment for teaching and supporting students on our Engineering programmes. You will be joining a growing and ambitious department that values the integration of research and practice-led materials within teaching and learning very highly. Thus, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive, achieving outstanding student learning outcomes. The successful applicant will also actively engage in high quality research, scholarly and/or practice activity that informs, extends and transforms their subject area and informs teaching.
About you: The successful applicant will have a post graduate qualification in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or a related discipline. If from a professional practice/industry background, the successful applicant will have a qualification equivalent to degree level (or above) together with relevant professional experience within the Engineering Sector. A teaching qualification and experience of teaching in higher education is desirable. Experience of working in or collaborating with relevant industry is desirable and there will be opportunities to work with industry on knowledge exchange projects. We require particular expertise in Control and Dynamics related to Mechanical and Automotive engineering.
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – £300m has been invested recently on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.
Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.

This is a permanent post, and is full-time working on a 100% contract.
