We currently have a vacancy within our Law School for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law who will contribute to teaching delivery across the existing suite of Academic and Professional Law programmes. This role will involve supporting the overall teaching delivery to achieve outstanding learning outcomes for our students and engaging in scholarly or professional activity to enhance the design and delivery of curriculum development.
Working in the Department of Law, comprising of academic (LLB/LLM) and professional (GDL/BPTC/LPC) programmes this post is a permanent appointment teaching and supporting students on Professional Law programs in Criminal Litigation & Evidence, Criminal Advocacy and related subjects. The successful applicant will also undertake module leadership within Professional Law and perform a visible leadership role in relation to the teaching team.
The successful applicant will therefore have substantial experience of practice as a barrister or solicitor within the Criminal Law context and from a teaching perspective should demonstrate the ability to engage and inspire students within a variety of learning environments. You will also have the ability to design innovative teaching and assessment materials, including the use of technology, and demonstrate effective student support skills.
