The vacancy: Working in the School of Law, comprising of academic (LLB/LLM) and professional (GDL/BTC/LPC/STC) programmes this post is a permanent appointment teaching and supporting students on the Bar Training Course.
UWE Bristol Law Department has an excellent reputation all round and in particular for its professional law courses and you will be joining a vibrant and dedicated teaching team. The successful applicant may be expected undertake a module leadership role within Professional Law and be able to teach Litigation, Professional Ethics and skills-based subjects (including advocacy) primarily within the Criminal Law team.
About you: We are looking for someone who can engage and inspire a diverse cohort of students, who is innovative and inclusive with excellent communication skills and a passion for people.
You must have breadth and depth of subject knowledge appropriate for teaching in a higher education setting, we would particularly welcome applicants with a strong academic record and substantial experience of practice as a barrister or solicitor.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – £300m has been invested on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.
Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.
