The Department of Applied Sciences, in the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, is seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience to support our programmes and our established and growing research profile. This is a full-time permanent role that will focus on both teaching and research. The post holder will support students on our Biomedical and Healthcare Science programmes.
Working within a committed and enthusiastic team, the post-holder will contribute to course planning, teaching and assessment, as well as providing module leadership. Preference will be given to applicants who can evidence expertise in the area of neuroscience e.g. neurophysiology, neuropathology, neuropharmacology, neurochemistry and neuroanatomy.

Biomedical and Healthcare Sciences @ UWE
The Department of Applied Sciences runs a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the biomedical and healthcare science area. This includes BSc (Hons) and MSci Biomedical Science, MSc Biomedical Science and Doctor of Biomedical Science programmes, and Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences), of which Neurophysiology is one of the specialisms.
The post-holder will support students on these programmes primarily, by contributing to teaching and learning, and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. They may also be required to support teaching teams on other programmes within the Department. It is also expected that the post-holder will contribute to research within one of the Faculty’s research centres.
