About us: The Department of Applied Sciences, in the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Forensic Science to support our programmes and our established and growing research profile. This is a full-time permanent role. The post holder will support students on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses relating to forensic and analytical sciences. Working within a committed and enthusiastic team, the post-holder will contribute to course planning, teaching and assessment. The post holder will also contribute to the teaching and learning of forensic science with a focus on crime scene science and forensic biology. Applications will be particularly welcome from those who have additional expertise in digital forensics and/or anthropology and archaeology. The post holder will support the delivery and supervision of forensic Undergraduate, MSci and Postgraduate research projects.

Forensic Science @ UWE
About you: The Department of Applied Sciences runs a number of BSc (Honours), MSci and MSc programmes in Forensic Science. This post will support the teaching of forensic science and this may include teaching on foundation level modules. We are seeking someone with experience of teaching, including laboratory practical classes and research experience in a forensic science discipline, to support these programmes. In addition, this post will also contribute to delivery and supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate forensic student projects. The post holder may also be required to support teaching teams on other programmes within the Department. It is also expected that the post-holder will contribute to research within one of the Faculty’s research centres.
