About the vacancy:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Technical Services Team, primarily supporting our thriving Paramedic Science programmes at Glenside Campus. This post will involve skills support, simulation training for students around the campus, setting up and maintenance of specialist equipment including high fidelity manikins, specialist task trainers, 1 ambulance, cars for extrication, and on occasions injury moulage.
This role is student facing, you will be working with students daily and will report to the Healthcare Training Resources Manager and work directly with the Technical Services team and academic colleagues. UWE Bristol is proudly a member of the Science Councils Technician Commitment.
About you:
We are seeking an HCPC registered paramedic who has experience of teaching or mentoring others and with an excellent clinical skill set. You should also be able to problem solve and find creative solutions to help develop simulation and skills sessions. You will have experience of working as part of a team as well as be able to work autonomously.
Where is this role based?
Glenside: This post is based at our Glenside Campus which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre. Regular bus services link the campus to the main Frenchay site, the city centre and surrounding areas, and nearby Bristol Parkway train station.
