About us: The newly-created School of Creative and Cultural Industries brings together colleagues working in humanities, cultural studies and creative practice covering subject areas including English Literature, Linguistics, History, Filmmaking, Drama and Photography. You will join a collegial and nurturing environment; this role is based in the Linguistics & Writing cluster which combines the creative excellence of active writers teaching the Creative & Professional Writing programme and the expertise and research of colleagues working out of the Bristol Centre for Linguistics.
About you: The ideal candidate will be able to deliver outstanding teaching in both face-to-face and online settings. You will draw on your own professional practice and research to deliver sessions covering a range of subdisciplines of creative and professional writing in an authentic and engaging manner. An ability to teach scriptwriting for live performance and fiction – both based on professional experience – would be a distinct advantage, as would professional knowledge of theatre production and/or publishing.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – with £300m having been invested recently on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while incredible new facilities continue to be developed to enhance our offer even further.
Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities, making our campus the ideal place to work for those commuting to Bristol.
